Revolution
Bloody hell, it's been 6 months since I posted anything here and for that I'm truely sorry. I've just had other things on my mind and there have been irritating things such as work that have been getting in the way of my free time. Anyway, I'm still working for the NHS in Dudley; I'm *supposed* to be on a permanent contract, but as the NHS moves at glacial speeds at the best of times it's been put back again - my current contract has been extended for another 2 weeks, which means another two weeks of Giant fucking me over on my paycheque. In other news, we will hopefully be moving to somewhere that's slightly less of a dump come the end of June - assuming we can find somewhere and assuming that Alex doesn't get made redundant during the impending merger of the site he works at with another one that has slightly more capable employees (Alex excluded, of course). Hooray for uncertainty!
In my limited spare time, I've also been working in Photoshop to create some City Of Heroes influenced art, if you can call it art:

You can keep up with the adventures of my various heroes (and villains) here.
You might also notice that this blog has moved and is slightly uglier than it was. This is because I wanted to integrate it with my main site and haven't really had time to make it look really good - Google use a shitload of CSS classes that take a bit of work to get used to.
Now that that's all out of the way, on to the meat of this post - the Nintendo Revolution. I wasn't hugely bothered about it until, that is, I saw this on Gamespot - yup, you read that right, the Revolution will play Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, Megadrive (Genesis) *and* TurboGrafx (whatever the hell that is) games in addition to its own. I cannot think of any reason why anyone who lived through the 90s as a kid would not want to own this console - over 1000 Megadrive games and god knows how many games from Nintendo's own back-catalogue on a single machine. Knowing Nintendo, it'll be a cheap machine too, none of this £300 crap. Plus, it has the "controversial" new controller:

Which some people have scoffed at, but which I think will most likely follow the other great Nintendo inventions (such as The Gamepad, The Shoulder Button, The Analog Stick and The Rumble Pack) and the next generation of consoles will all have peripherals based on them.
Right, I think that covers pretty much all the bases. It remains only to say that it's my birthday on the 6th of April, so make sure you get your cards and gifts in early; for disclosure reasons, gifts over £50 may need to be classified as loans. If you don't have my current address in Ladywood, drop me an email and I'll let you have it.
I'd promise to make more frequent updates, but we all know that it them probably wont't happen. So instead I'll resolve to try and post more often and we'll see how it goes.
